I Remember – Tuba Quartet

After very full lives, a young man’s grandparents passed away. They had saved to leave a little for every family member, certainly a characteristic of that generation. One grandson decided to use his portion to create a piece for tuba quartet in their memory. Nothing sad or elegiac, but a piece that would allow him to tap into the decades of warm memories they had together, at peace with their passing and grateful to have had them in his life.

The excerpt recording is from a U. S. Marine Band recital.
